"I really like the way you can access your work items from within Outlook. I like the way you can bring up the full work item forms, make edits, and save immediately to TFS. It was great to create new meeting requests or mail messages from the work items."

FAQ

Testimonials

TeamExpand did a great job for our company. They saved us months that we would have spent on the TFS installation and adaptation ourselves. Their Looker and Chrono are also great tools that make us more efficient.

Leo Matveev, SoftInform, Inc.

Why do I need TX Chrono while TFS contains all the necessary data?

TFS doesn’t support definite workflow of reporting and approving. TX Chrono requires that managers approve time of their team members. TX Chrono also provides an interface where all the tasks done by an employee during the reporting period (week by default) are displayed. The interface allows making corrections of the time spend before sending the time for approval. TX Chrono also has a number of preset reports which are absent in the Team Foudation Server by default.

What is the reporting cycle?

The default reporting cycle is a week. However, it may be changed for every project using the system settings. You can set up daily or monthly reporting periods.

Can I create invoices using TX Chrono?

The invoicing features are not included in the funcationality of this product.

Who approves the timesheets?

The approver is defined in the administrative section of the product. The approver is set up by the system administrator in accordance with the project role structure.

Are the official holidays taken into account?

The calendar of holidays is entered into the system by administrator.

What will happen if a project manager is absent? Who will approve the reproted time?

The system has three tiers of approval- Project manager, Resource Manager, System Administrator. If a project manager is not able to approve timesheets, it can be done by the Resource Manager of a department or by system administrator.

Is there a possibility to modify the reports after manager’s approval?

Project Manager can send a request for change to Resource Manager. The latter has the necessary rights to do this.

What kind of reports TX Chrono has?

The predefined reports display time spent by members of a definite project team; time spent by one or several employees on all the projects he/she/they participate. You can create your own reports using MS SQL Business Intelligence and reporting services.

Do you have a Roadmap for TX Chrono?

Yes, we have. Go and see what the features on the TxChrono Roadmap are.

What is the pricing for TX Chrono?

The TX Chrono license is priced at $15, per seat, per month. A 30-day fully functional free trial version is also available.
